Trading Partner: Camping World

Camping World is a major outdoor retailer that communicates order and fulfillment data with its vendors through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) — a standardized method for exchanging business documents electronically. When adding Camping World to your EDI network, there are specific connection details, transaction requirements, and testing steps that must be completed before your integration can go live.

Camping World uses a third-party company, SPS Commerce, to conduct compliance testing on their behalf. Your Implementation Specialist will coordinate the testing process with you, but there are several preliminary steps you will need to complete before testing can begin.

EDI IDs

Camping World utilizes the following Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) IDs for identification purposes. These EDI IDs are made up of a Qualifier and an ID, which are sent within their Interchange Control Header (ISA) segment on your inbound transactions. This allows Transaction Manager to identify the Sender and Receiver of any EDI transaction that is sent or received.

The table below lists the most common EDI IDs used by Camping World:

X12 Qualifier

Primary ID?

ZZ

SPSCAMPWORLD

TESTCAMPLD

No

TST1CAMPWRLDOSR

No

Camping World will expect a specific EDI ID based on your business relationship with them. Selecting the wrong EDI ID will result in EDI Transactions not being sent or received.

You will need to work with Camping World to determine the proper EDI ID to use.

Preliminary Steps

Before TrueCommerce is able to begin onboarding Camping World into Transaction Manager, you will need to complete the following steps to kick off your Trading Partner Implementation Project:

  • Review all steps in the SPS Testing & Certification portal, as each step will require information to be entered before testing can proceed. If you need any assistance completing Steps 2 and 3, you can work with your assigned Implementation Specialist.
