EDI IDs

SPS will expect a specific EDI ID based on your business relationship with them.

Selecting the wrong EDI ID will result in EDI Transactions not being sent or received.

You will need to work with SPS to determine the proper EDI ID to use.

Step 1 - Confirm SPS EDI Mapping Specifications

Customer reviews and confirms the SPS EDI mapping specifications to ensure alignment with business requirements.

Step 2 – Confirm Test Setup Details

  • Customer confirms all test setup details listed in the Required Details, below.

  • SPS will require approximately 24 business hours to complete the setup.

Required details:

  • Customer EDI contact information

  • Vendor Number

  • If the Vendor Number field is grayed out, reach out to SPS directly to have this field populated.

  • SPS will require approximately 24 business hours to complete the setup.

  • If a test EDI ID is not available, Production SPS EDI IDs may be used.

  • Note your EDI IDs; these will need to be provided to the Implementation Specialist.

  • Connection method

    • VAN Connection (TrueCommerce)

Step 3 – Test Document Details

The customer provides the required information to support EDI transaction testing.

Required details:

  • Vendor number confirmation

  • Setup of test items using realistic, non-dummy data so test orders can be used to fully validate the integration

Step 4 – Test Purchase Order & Implementation Readiness

Once all prior steps are completed and confirmed, a test Purchase Order (PO) will be generated. This test PO will initiate a compliance review and allow our team to begin validating the integration.

Note the following:

  • Customers must reach Step 4 before implementation support and testing sessions can be scheduled.

  • Configuration and confirmation of the previous steps may take several business days, as setup and validation are completed in coordination with SPS.

  • Reaching this step confirms that the environment is fully prepared to move forward with formal testing and implementation support.

Step 5 – Production Readiness

  • Once Steps 1-4 are complete, SPS will confirm Production readiness.

  • Customer will confirm its Production EDI ID, connections, and Go-Live date.

Important Information

Upon completion of testing, TrueCommerce will provide the production EDI ID.
