DoorDash is a leading food delivery platform that exchanges order and fulfillment data with their vendors through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). Adding DoorDash as a Trading Partner in your network requires completing setup, SPS Commerce compliance testing, and certification steps before transactions can begin flowing between systems.
DoorDash manages compliance testing through a third-party company, SPS Commerce, meaning your setup and certification process is coordinated between SPS Commerce and your TrueCommerce Implementation Specialist. This article covers the key EDI identification values, preliminary setup steps, portal testing expectations, commonly used transactions, and what to expect as you move toward Go-Live.
EDI IDs
DoorDash utilizes the following Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) IDs for identification purposes. These EDI IDs are made up of a Qualifier and an ID which will be sent within their Interchange Control Header, ISA segment, on your inbound transactions. This allows Transaction Manager to be able to identify the Sender and Receiver of any EDI transaction that is sent or received.

DoorDash will expect a specific EDI ID based on your business relationship with them. Selecting the wrong EDI ID will result in EDI Transactions not being sent or received.
You will need to work with DoorDash to determine the proper EDI ID to use.
Preliminary Steps
DoorDash uses a third-party company, SPS Commerce, to conduct compliance testing on their behalf. Be sure to engage with your SPS Commerce Account Representative to ensure your testing agreement has been signed and that you have access to the SPS Commerce Testing & Certification portal.

Login: To the SPS Commerce online portal once access is granted
Navigate: To Testing & Certification → Dashboard
Select: DoorDash from the Active tab on the Dashboard to begin the testing process
Review: Acknowledge the EDI Specifications
Enter: Test setup details, including the following:
Connection Method type: VAN
VAN Name: TrueCommerce
Enter: Test transaction details and test transaction item details
Portal Testing
DoorDash requires you to complete compliance testing before Go-Live. Please refer to the Next Steps section below for detailed instructions and expectations. If you prefer, TrueCommerce can conduct and complete compliance testing on your behalf.
In that case, provide the following details to your Implementation Specialist:
URL for the SPS Commerce portal
Username for the SPS Commerce portal
Password for the SPS Commerce portal
Do not share your portal credentials via email or chat. Provide them securely to your Implementation Specialist using an approved credential-sharing method.
