Tenaquip is a Canadian industrial supply distributor that exchanges order and fulfillment data with vendors through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). Adding Tenaquip as a Trading Partner in your network requires completing setup, compliance testing, and certification steps before transactions can begin flowing between systems.
Tenaquip conducts compliance testing through a third-party testing provider, SPS Commerce, meaning your setup and certification process is coordinated through their Testing & Certification portal prior to Go-Live. Below you will find the EDI identification details, preliminary steps, SPS Commerce portal testing requirements, commonly used transaction types, and next steps for establishing your Tenaquip connection.
EDI IDs
Tenaquip utilizes the following Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) IDs for identification purposes. These EDI IDs are made up of a Qualifier and an ID which will be sent within their Interchange Control Header, ISA segment, on your inbound transactions. This allows Transaction Manager to be able to identify the Sender and Receiver of any EDI transaction that is sent or received.
The table, below, lists the most common EDI IDs typically used by Tenaquip:
X12 Qualifier | EDI ID | Primary ID? |
12 | 5144574811 | Yes |
12 | 514457481T | No |
ZZ | TST1TENAQUIPLTD | No |
Tenaquip will expect a specific EDI ID based on your business relationship with them. Selecting the wrong EDI ID will result in EDI Transactions not being sent or received.
You will need to work with Tenaquip to determine the proper EDI ID to use.
