What is the Initiative?

Home Shopping Network (HSN) is requiring EDI 870s (Order Status Report) transactions to be sent for any cancelled order.

Is Testing Required?

Yes. HSN is requiring a test 870 to be sent for validation by June 30, 2026.

What should I do to get started?

Testing for this initiative can either be self-guided or facilitated with the guidance of a TrueCommerce Implementation Specialist.

If you would like to self-test, follow the steps outlined in this article.

To receive guidance from a dedicated Implementation Specialist, contact [email protected].

NOTE: A re-implementation fee would be assessed prior to project creation.

What is the Testing Process?

The test 870 can be sent using a current, live order from HSN.

First, ensure that the 870 is activated and in Test mode within the Transaction Setup within Foundry.

TrueCommerce recommends that you review the Template as well to hardcode any static information to eliminate as much manual entry as possible.

Next, the 870 can be created via Turnaround from a Purchase Order (PO). Populate all mandatory fields, save and send.

Upon sending the 870, the raw data must be obtained and emailed to the HSN team for approval. Once the data is obtained, a copy must be emailed to Kevin Windon ([email protected]).

Once HSN approves of the 870 and the document is moved into Production, update the mode of the Transaction to Production.
