What is the Initiative?
Blain Supply will be requiring the Purchase Order Acknowledgment (855) and Advance Ship Notice (856) for all orders.
Is Testing Required?
No. However, it is recommended to be familiar with how to create and send the 855 and 856 when Blain does require these transactions to be sent.

TrueCommerce does recommend that your organization conduct internal preparation within Foundry to prepare for when Blain Supply requires the 855 and 856 to be sent. It is important not to send these transactions until Blain Supply communicates with your organization directly on a go-live date.
Ensure the 855 and 856 are activated within the Transaction Setup.
Note: The 856 to choose would depend on how shipments are packed. The options would either be the Ship Notice / Manifest Pick and Pack (if shipping on cartons) or the Ship Notice / Manifest - Pallet Pick and Pack (if shipping on pallets)
Hardcode any static value within the transaction to reduce as much manual entry as possible.
If your organization utilizes an integration with your business system to create the 855 and / or the 856, ensure the Import Document Type is set.
Conduct internal testing to create the 855 and 856 within Foundry.
As a reminder, do not send the transactions until Blain Supply provides a go-live date.
Once Blain Supply provides a go-live date, change the mode of the 855 and 856 to production.

Actions To Take
Please ensure that your team is fully prepared. Required transactions must be in place by August 15, 2026, but Blain Supply will communicate when they want these transactions to be sent.
Please do not send an 855 or 856 until Blain Supply communicates that your organization needs to start sending.
