Product: Intuit QuickBooks

Error: There is an invalid reference to QuickBooks Customer "xxxx" in the SalesOrder. QuickBooks error message: Invalid argument. The specified record does not exist in the list.

Issue: When attempting to export out an inbound transaction from your Trading Partner you receive the error message 'There is an invalid reference to QuickBooks Customer "xxxx" in the SalesOrder. QuickBooks error message: Invalid argument. The specified record does not exist in the list.'

Reason: There is a mismatch with your Customer List within QuickBooks and the Partner List within Transaction Manager

Solution

Navigate (QB): Customers → Customer List → (Customer)

Navigate (TM): Trading Partners → (Partner) → Translations → Partner List

Add: Either correct the Partner List within Transaction Manager to match the entry in your QuickBooks' customer list - or add a new entry into QuickBooks if missing

QuickBooks Customer Card

Transaction Manager Partner List
