Experticity is a platform used by brands and retailers to engage and train sales associates. As a Trading Partner, Experticity communicates order and fulfillment data with your business through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) — a standardized method for exchanging business documents electronically. When adding Experticity to your EDI network, there are specific connection details, transaction requirements, and testing steps that must be completed before your integration can go live.
TrueCommerce manages the technical setup of Experticity within Transaction Manager on your behalf. To get started, you will need to gather a few key details from Experticity directly and complete a compliance testing phase before transactions can begin flowing between your systems.
EDI IDs
Experticity utilizes the following Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) IDs for identification purposes. These EDI IDs are made up of a Qualifier and an ID, which are transmitted within the Interchange Control Header (ISA) segment on all inbound transactions. The ISA segment is the outermost "envelope" of an EDI file and is used by Transaction Manager to identify who sent the transaction and who it is intended for.
The table, below, lists the most commonly used EDI IDs for Experticity.
X12 Qualifier | EDI ID | Primary ID? |
ZZ | 3POINT5 | Yes |
ZZ | 3POINT5TST | No |
ZZ | 3POINT5TEST | No |
Experticity will expect a specific EDI ID based on your business relationship with them. Selecting the wrong EDI ID will result in EDI transactions not being sent or received correctly.
You will need to confirm the appropriate EDI ID to use directly with Experticity.
Preliminary Steps
Before TrueCommerce can begin onboarding Experticity into Transaction Manager, complete the following actions to kick off your Trading Partner Implementation Project:
Confirm your EDI connectivity details, ISA IDs, and transaction specifications with Experticity directly.
Contact your Experticity buyer or account representative to request initiation of the EDI setup process.
Gather any required EDI specification documents provided by Experticity — these will be needed by your Implementation Specialist during onboarding.
Direct Trading Partner Testing
Experticity requires you to complete compliance testing before Go-Live. Please refer to the below Next Steps section for detailed instructions and expectations. If you prefer, TrueCommerce can conduct and complete compliance testing on your behalf.
