Product: NetSuite

Error: Trading Partner is not defined. Account ID: xxx

Issue: When attempting to import/export a transaction between Transaction Manager and NetSuite you receive the following error: 'Trading Partner is not defined. Account ID: xxx'

Problem: Transaction Manager is unable to identify which EDI Trading Partner within Transaction Manager matches which Customer/Vendor/Warehouse within NetSuite.

Customers/Vendors

If you're attempting to import/export either a Customer or a Vendor from NetSuite with Transaction Manager you will need to ensure that your Internal ID is set within the Partner Setup of your Trading Partner settings.

Determining the NetSuite Internal ID Customer

Navigate (NetSuite): Lists β†’ Relationships β†’ Customers

Locate: The Internal ID reported in the error

Reference: The Name column of the matching Internal ID to determine which Trading Partner this is

Alternatively you can access any Customer Record within NetSuite - then replace the ID located within your Browser's URL with the Internal ID in the error.

Example: netsuite.com/app/common/entity/custjob.r?id=3496

Warehouses/Third-Party Logistics (3PL)

If you're attempting to import a Warehouse Shipping Order (940) to send to your Warehouse/3PL then you'll want to make sure that your Partner Setup within the Trading Partner setup for your Warehouse within Transaction Manager matches your Location Code set on your Items within NetSuite.
