A Consolidated Advance Ship Notice (856) is a series of Item Fulfillments that exist within NetSuite that have been combined into a single Advance Ship Notice within Transaction Manager to be sent to your Trading Partner representing all shipments.
Requirements
While most Trading Partners can accept consolidated Advance Ship Notices it is often required by the partner to have this request initiated by the them prior to being sent.
In the event that your partner has requested to have your Advance Ship Notices consolidated - Transaction Manager may require some updated mapping specifications or templates from your Trading Partner.

Consolidation Settings
You can configure Transaction Manager to consolidate your Item Fulfillments utilizing a single, or number of fields that match across all Item Fulfilments within NetSuite.
Note: You must import these Item Fulfillments all at the same time - you cannot combine an Item Fulfillment to an already generated Advance Ship Notice (856) if it has been previously imported.
Consolidate ASN By
The Consolidate ASN By setting within Transaction Manager provides a list of options allowing you to configure which field whether in NetSuite, or within Transaction Manager that the import process will evaluate for same-values in order to key off the consolidation.
Purchase Order Number
When set to Purchase Order Number Transaction Manager will consolidate any Item Fulfillment that has a matching PO # within NetSuite of the selected transactions during import.
Purchase Order and DC Code
When set to Purchase Order and DC Code Transaction Manager will consolidate any Item Fulfillment that has a matching PO # as well as matching DC Code (TrueCommerce Tab)
Shipment ID
When set to Shipment ID Transaction Manager will consolidate any Item Fulfillment that has a matching Shipment ID number located under the TrueCommerce tab
Skip Consolidation of Like Pack Items
If Consolidation is enabled - you can disable Transaction Manager from consolidating like items with the Skip Consolidation of Like Pack Items option.
Trading Partner Consolidation Settings
If you do not wish to have this setting configured for all Trading Partners - you can configure each individual Trading Partner within Transaction Manager to have their own unique set of Consolidation Settings.
Navigate: Trading Partners β (Partner) β Preferences β Integrations
Select: Integration Type to matching ASN structure
Check: Use Partner Level Settings
Configure: Settings
Note: By enabling Partner Level Settings checkbox ALL settings will be set. Be sure to mimic any global settings in this window that you'd like to keep for this Trading Partner
