Error: Item cannot be found in the Item Cross-Reference or Code Translation table in Line x.
Issue: When attempting to process an Inbound Message you receive the error: 'Item cannot be found in the Item Cross-Reference or Code Translation table in Line x.'
Reason: The Item No. being processed on the indicated Line Number could not find a match within your Item list, Cross-Reference table, or the TrueCommerce Code Translation table.
Identifying the Item Code
Your error message will indicate which Line No. is having issues, by opening the Inbound Message you can view the incoming data and
Navigate: Departments β TrueCommerce β EDI β Import & Export
Select: Inbound Messages
Locate: The errored Inbound Message
Select: View/Edit
Expand: The Lines group
Find: The Item Code that is erroring
Right Click: Desired Code β Copy Cell
By default the system will attempt to locate a match using the following fields in order:
EAN No
TUN No
Customer/Vendor Item No.
Item No.
Solution - Add the Item to your Cross-Reference Table
If the item is intended to be Cross-Referenced or Translated using Dynamic NAV's Cross-Reference table you can add the incoming Item No. to that table without needing to add it as a new Item within your Inventory.
