Product: Sage 100

If you're setting up a new Trading Partner within Transaction Manager with Sage 100 you can use the below checklist to help you prepare, keep track, and even get ahead of the process by knowing what a typical setup requires.

Implementation

Customer Maintenance Setup

You'll want to make sure you have a Customer Card entered within Sage 100 in your Customer Maintenance that will represent this Trading Partner

TrueCommerce Tab

You'll also want to make sure you setup your TrueCommerce tab for that Customer Maintenance to configure their defaults specific to TrueCommerce

See Below for More Info on Settings

Partner Setup

Once your Customer Card is configured you'll need a way to link it to Transaction Manager and thus your EDI Partner settings - to do this you'll need to use the Partner Setup

Item Catalog Setup

Next you'll want to setup your Items and link the items your Trading Partner is sending to your Sage 100 Item Codes

Ship To Codes Configured

You'll also need to make sure the Ship-To Codes being sent by your Trading Partner are configured within your Sage 100 System - or translated within Transaction Manager if required within the Address List

Advance Ship Notice Setup

If you're sending your Trading Partner an Advance Ship Notice (856) you'll want to make sure you've setup the proper types base don your partner's requirements

Auto-Pack Templates & Package Settings

If you're setting up an Advance Ship Notice - you'll more than likely need to make adjustments to or setup the Auto-Pack Templates & Pack Settings configurations as well so the system can properly pack your items automatically

Configuring Warehouse Codes (Optional)

If you're using a Warehouse/3PL to send Warehouse Shipping Orders (940) to you'll need to make sure your Warehouse Codes are setup

Import Document Types Set

In order for Transaction Manager to be able to import your documents back into the system and know which variants of an EDI Document to create you'll need to set the Import Document Type within Transaction Manager
