John Deere is a Trading Partner that communicates with vendors through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). When adding John Deere to your EDI network, there are specific EDI IDs, compliance testing requirements, and transaction types you will need to be aware of before your implementation begins.
TrueCommerce supports the John Deere plug-in through Transaction Manager. Your Implementation Specialist will guide you through compliance testing and EDI configuration once onboarding is initiated.
EDI IDs
John Deere utilizes the following EDI IDs for identification purposes. These EDI IDs are made up of a Qualifier and an ID which will be sent within their Interchange Control Header (ISA) segment on your inbound transactions. This allows Transaction Manager to identify the Sender and Receiver of any EDI transaction that is sent or received.

John Deere will expect a specific EDI ID based on your business relationship with them. Selecting the wrong EDI ID will result in EDI transactions not being sent or received.
Unlike many Trading Partners, John Deere does not designate a single primary EDI ID. Each John Deere division has its own set of ISA IDs. You will need to work with John Deere directly to determine the correct EDI ID for your specific division and business relationship.
Preliminary Steps
Before TrueCommerce is able to begin onboarding John Deere into Transaction Manager, you will need to complete the following steps to kick off your Trading Partner Implementation Project:
Confirm the connection method(s) with John Deere.
Confirm your John Deere division and its corresponding ISA IDs.
Direct Trading Partner Testing
John Deere requires you to complete compliance testing before Go-Live. Compliance testing verifies that the EDI transactions being sent and received meet John Deere's specifications prior to your integration going live.
Your Implementation Specialist will coordinate the compliance testing process with you once onboarding begins. If you prefer, TrueCommerce can conduct and complete compliance testing on your behalf.

Once the purchase of the John Deere plug-in is complete, your Implementation Specialist will reach out to schedule time to complete and/or coordinate a plan for compliance testing and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system integration testing.
To prepare, it is recommended that you:
Confirm your assigned EDI ID and John Deere division with your John Deere contact.
Identify any ERP or business system to be integrated alongside Transaction Manager.
Be ready to provide connection and account details as requested by your Implementation Specialist.
