Product: Transaction Manager

A Trading Partner Implementation Project (also known as an Add-On) is used to track the progress and status of your latest Trading Partner Connection Add-On and is used to ensure everything is organized and tracked. An Implementation Project can be in one of the following statuses: Pending, In Progress, Complete, Archived, On Hold, and Abandoned.

Each status provides you with an indicator of the overall state of your Implementation Projects so that you can easily see where each one may stand at any given time.

List of Pending and In Progress Projects

Pending

The Pending status represents the default state of your Implementation Project prior to work beginning. Typically at this time your Implementation Project has been approved but has not been assigned out to an Implementation Specialist yet, or if assigned - is pending finalization on information or scheduling before moving into the In Progress status.

In Progress

The In Progress status will be your primary state for any Implementation Project that has on-going work being attended. In this state you will configure your Trading Partner Connection, Integrate with your Business System (if applicable), setup Automation, and Test your EDI Transactions for Compliance per the requirements of your Trading Partner.

Complete

The Complete status is for any Implementation Project that has successfully passed all Trading Partner Compliance Testing and has been approved for Production use.

Archived

The Archived status is used for any Implementation Project that have been shelved per your company's request prior to being completed.

This typically happens whenever a Trading Partner has already begun its implementation but was later stopped either due to the Trading Partner no longer being a business partner, or no longer wishes to use Electronic Data Interface (EDI) to conduct business through.

Restarting an Archived Implementation Project will require an evaluation and may result in additional charges.

You will want to discuss this with your Account Manager

On Hold

The On Hold status is used for any Implementation Project that has been put on pause with the intention of continuing it at a later date. Projects On Hold are not considered active and thus are not actively being configured, tested, or worked on by our Implementation Specialist.

This is typically done per-request, but your Implementation Project may be placed on an On Hold status if the primary contact for your company assigned to this project has stopped responding for a significant amount of time resulting in delayed communications preventing the project for continuing.

Implications of On Hold

Implementation Projects that are On Hold are considered non-active and as such TrueCommerce and your originally assigned Implementation Specialist will prioritize Active Projects during this time - as such you will want to be aware that:

  • Lead Time: There may be up to a few business days lead time to reengage project resources when you are ready to proceed.

  • Resource Assignment: Depending on schedules and assignments, TrueCommerce cannot guarantee that the original Implementation Specialist or other resource(s) will be reassigned to your project.

  • Change Orders and Fees: A change order outlining additional service fees may apply if project rework is required due to the on-hold status such as rebuilding a test environment, reloading test transactions, retraining, retesting, etc. If the scope of your project has changed during the on-hold time, such as new testing and/or production requirements, additional fees may apply.

  • Extended Holds: If your organization is unable to reengage within 6 months, TrueCommerce reserves the right to apply a re-implementation fee to restart the project.

TrueCommerce cannot guarantee expedited services for Implementation Projects On Hold.

Some delay may be expected

Taking a Project Off Hold

If you would like to take your Implementation Project off hold and begin working on it again (moving it back into an In Progress state) then you will need to contact our general Implementation Add-On mailbox so that requests can be evaluated at a first-come first-served basis.

Please send an email to the following email address for the project to be reviewed for re-engagement: [email protected]

Implementation Projects that are On Hold are considered non-active and as such depending on schedules, project assignments, and employee bandwidth TrueCommerce cannot guarantee that the original Implementation Specialist, or other project resource, will be assigned to your project during the reassignment process.

Contacting Your Implementation Specialist

Please note, that once your Implementation Project has been put On Hold your Implementation Specialist may of been assigned out to another project - as such it is recommended to email the general Implementations Add-On email mailbox as your original Implementation Specialist is not guaranteed to be able top process the request on your behalf.

Abandoned

The Abandoned status is used for any Implementation Project where communications with your company has ceased for an extended period of time and is considered Abandoned due to lack of communications.

For any re-engagement of an Implementation Project that has been marked as Abandoned - please email [email protected] to request a restart.

Implications of Abandoned Projects

  • Lead Time: There may be up to a few business days lead time to reengage Project resources when you are ready to proceed.

  • Resource Assignment: Depending on schedules and assignments, TrueCommerce cannot guarantee that the original Implementation Specialist or other resource(s) will be reassigned to your Project.

  • Change Orders and Fees: Additional service fees may apply
