Below are some of the most commonly asked questions regarding Implementation Projects


What Is an Add-On Transaction


An Add-On Transaction refers to adding a new EDI Transaction such as an Invoice (810), a Purchase Order Acknowledgement (855), and a Warehouse Shipping Order (940) onto an existing production based Trading Partner Connection.

In that sense, you're adding to what's already there!


Can I Add-On an Inbound Transaction


If the EDI Transaction in question is Inbound (Sent by your Trading Partner) and will be received into the Inbox; then you typically do not need an Add-On Transaction Implementation project as there is nothing to test against.

However; if your Business System is integrated and requires a document within it to be generated upon Export of Transaction Manager, then an Add-On may be established.

Not all Documents are capable of Integration - be sure to check to see which Documents are integrated for your Business System


Is Documentation Required for an Add-On


Yes! You will need documentation from your Trading Partner requesting any new EDI Transactions as well as indicating that Compliance Testing is required.


Can I Work with a Specific Implementation Specialist


While TrueCommerce appreciates a great experience any of our Implementation Specialist can provide, all new Implementation Projects are assigned based on capacity of the individual specialist at that specific time.

Any request to to work with a specific specialist will be reviewed and considered, but cannot be guaranteed due to on-going capacity limitations. Requests are encouraged however


How Long Will an Implementation Project take?


TrueCommerce's goal is to complete your Trading Partner Implementation including Compliance Testing and Business System Integration within approximately 2-4 weeks. However; timelines vary depending on Trading Partner requirements, dependencies, as well as your availability and readiness.

Some Trading Partner Compliance Testing cases may not align perfectly with your internal Business Process

Some Trading Partners may take longer or require additional testing that can lengthen time to completion, while others may not require testing that can shorten the time to completion.

Some Trading Partners do not require any Compliance Testing and may be moved to Production immediately


Implementation Specialist is Out Of Office


Whenever your assigned Implementation Specialist is Out Of Office you have a handful of ways in which you can help ensure that your Implementation Project is continuing to move forward.

Backup Contact

Whenever an Implementation Specialist goes out of office they will send an email including the name and email address of a backup contact to reach out to should you need support while they're out.

Backup Contacts are already scheduled much like your own Implementation Specialist and may not be able to schedule time with you before your assigned specialist returns depending on the length of their absence.

For fastest response - it is recommended to give Truedi a try and reach out to the backup specialist if additional assistance is required
