Product: Transaction Manager & Scheduler

If you're utilizing a locally-based Integrated Business System or Flat-File Integration in order to use the Scheduler system you will need to setup one of your Workstations or your Server up as what's known as the Scheduler Machine - this configuration will set that particular machine as a dedicated workstation to handle all the scheduled events.

If you're a web-based Integrated Business System (where you typically interact with your Business System through a browser) or leveraging a Cloud Flat-File Integration (using an FTP) you do not need to configure a Scheduler Machine locally - and can simply configure your Scheduled Events marked as Cloud

Configuring Integration Service as a Scheduler Machine

In order for Scheduler to be capable of passing data between your Business System and Transaction Manager you'll need to have the Integration Service installed - this service runs in the background and is leveraged by Scheduler to perform the actual import/exports.

You'll want to designate a machine dedicated to running all your Import/Export processes that will be operational during all Scheduled Event times - otherwise Scheduler will be unable to complete those events.

Activating Scheduler Machine in Transaction Manager

With the Integration Service installed and activated - you'll need to log into Transaction Manager while on your Scheduler Machine so that you can properly mark that machine as the Scheduler Machine

Navigate: Administration โ†’ Scheduler

Select: Activate

Deactivating

If you already have a machine actively marked as the Active Scheduler Machine within Transaction Manager you will need to first Deactivate that machine which will disconnect it from actively running Scheduled Events.

This machine can still Import/Export manually.

Only one machine can operate as the Active Scheduler Machine at a time
