Product: Integration Service & Transaction Manager

The Advanced Integration Service (V2) has the advantage of only being required to be installed on a single machine which can act as a Master Server known as the Scheduler Machine allowing all other Client Workstations to Import/Export without installing the Integration Service locally - reducing the amount of updating, configuration, permission sets, and maintenance required to a single machine.

Once your Scheduler Machine is setup and activated - you can easily set any Client Workstation to perform all Imports & Exports without needing to install the Integration Service locally simply by setting the Service ID associated with the Scheduler Machine.

Setting the Service ID

Each User within Transaction Manager needs to set a Service ID in order for Transaction Manager to know which machine to perform the Imports & Exports from. To set it - we simply need to grab the Service ID from the Scheduler Machine and set it within our own local Client Workstation while logged in under the desired User.

Note: The Service ID is saved inside your Browser's Cache rather than directly to the user's account allowing different Service IDs based on the machine you're logged into

Navigate: Transaction Manager → Administration → Scheduler

Copy: The Service ID located under Active Scheduler Machine

Navigate: Transaction Manager → Integration Settings

Select: Option 2 (if not set)

Paste: ID into Integration Service ID

Save

Capturing the Scheduler Machine's Service ID

There are two primary ways of grabbing the Scheduler Machine's Service ID which we will use to set on your local machine. Either by copying it from the Scheduler tab (if it's been activated within Transaction Manager) or by copying it directly by logging into the Scheduler Machine directly and copying it from the Transaction Manager Integration Service details panel.

Copying from the Active Scheduler Machine

The easiest way to collect the Scheduler Machine's Service ID is by copying it from the Active Scheduler machine setup under the Scheduler screen within Transaction Manager.

Navigate: Administration → Scheduler

Highlight: The Service ID found under Active Scheduler Machine

Copy: Right Click - Copy

Note: If the Active Scheduler Machine does not have the Service ID present - it may either need reactivated from the Scheduler Machine itself or it may still be on the Legacy Integration Service (V1) which does not allow this option

Copying From the Scheduler Machine Manually

If the Scheduler Machine does not appear within the Scheduler section - you can copy the Service ID manually by logging into that machine directly and copying the Service ID by launching the Transaction Manager Integration Service details panel by double clicking the TrueCommerce Logo near the system's clock.

Launching the Integration Service Details Box

To launch the Service Info simply locate the Transaction Manager Integration Service icon next to your system's clock (resembling a black & blue lowercase e) and double click it

Copying the Service ID

With the Transaction Manager Integration Service details panel open - you can simply select the Copy Icon to the Right of the Service ID or highlight it - and then Right Click → Copy

Setting the Service ID in Transaction Manager

With the Service ID copied from the Scheduler Machine - navigate to the Integration Settings inside Transaction Manager on your Client's Workstation and with Option 2 selected paste the Service ID into the Integration Service ID input box - then click Save
