Product: Integration Service & Transaction Manager

If you are utilizing the Advance Integration Service (V2) to connect a Workstation or Server with a local installation setup then you will need to ensure that Transaction Manager is pointing to your installation through what is known as the Service ID.

Each computer has a unique Service ID that allows Transaction Manager to communicate with various Workstations or your Server when performing Imports and Exports by calling out to the appropriate Service ID for that user.

As such - you will need to ensure that each user has a Service ID set within the Integration Settings

Note: It is recommended to have the Integration Service installed on the Server only - and all Client Workstations leverage the Server's Service ID for best performance and simplicity

Setting the Service ID

If you are utilizing the Integration Service locally - then you simply need to copy over the Service ID from your installation of the Integration Service and paste it into the Integration Settings page for the specific user you wish to configure.

Double Click: The Transaction Manager Integration Service icon near your Computer's Clock

Copy: The Integration Service ID (Note: Selecting the Clipboard Icon to the right of the Service ID will automatically copy it to your clipboard)

Navigate: Transaction Manager β†’ Integration Settings

Select: Option 2 (if not selected)

Paste: The copied ID into the Integration Service ID box.

Save

Note: Integration Service ID box only appears when set to Option 2

Launching the Integration Service Details Box

The Integration Service is a simple Windows Service that runs in the background of your machine to provide a connection between your Business System and Transaction Manager. To launch the Service Info simply locate the Transaction Manager Integration Service icon next to your system's clock (resembling a black & blue lowercase e) and double click it

Copying the Service ID

With the Transaction Manager Integration Service details panel open - you can simply select the Copy Icon to the Right of the Service ID or highlight it - and then Right Click β†’ Copy

Setting the Service ID in Transaction Manager

With the Service ID copied from your local machine - navigate to the Integration Settings inside Transaction Manager and with Option 2 selected paste the Service ID into the Integration Service ID input box - then click Save
