Creating Advance Ship Notices (ASNs) is a built in functionality within the TrueCommerce Extension that provides the ability to create and send these ASNs to your Trading Partner with all the EDI specific Packaging Information that instructs your Partner how your Shipment has been packed (such as SOPI or SOIP).

Creating a Ship Notice

To create and view ASNs - you'll want to navigate to the Ship Notice section of the the TrueCommerce department. You'll need to start off by creating the Ship Notice and then Posting it where you can then finally Send the ASN.

Sell-to Customer No: The NAV Customer number

Source Type: Where to pull item information from (Sales Order or Shipment)

Document No: The Document Number to pull

Once you have the source document information configured (Customer No, Source Type, Document No, etc) you'll be able to start adding your items in the configuration that your Trading Partner is requesting.
