Error: Price Level is blank, it must either be passed in or a default must exist for the transaction


Issue: When trying to export a Purchase Order (850) from Transaction Manager's Inbox, you receive the error: Price Level is blank, it must either be passed in or a default must exist for the transaction

Reason: Dynamics GP requires a Price Level be either set by default within your Item Card, or for you to setup a Default Price Level within your Trading Partner Defaults to pass it through

The Quick Fix


If you know the code of the Price Level you wish to use, you can simply enter it into the Defaults Table of Transaction Manager for this Trading Partner - in which the system will push this out for all items.

Navigate: Trading Partners β†’ (Partner) β†’ Translations β†’ Defaults

Fill: Default Price Level

Alternative Fix


By Default, if Transaction Manager does not send a Price Level - Dynamics GP will default to your Items setup. It's often required that items have their Price Level setup properly within your Dynamics GP if you do not wish Transaction Manager to set the same Price Level for all items for a specific Trading Partner to the same thing.

Note: You'll need to work with your VAR regarding setting up default Price Levels for your Items within Dynamics GP - TrueCommerce does not maintain your Item configurations within Dynamics GP.
