Error: Document ID is invalid
Issue: When exporting an inbound Purchase Order (850) from a Trading Partner you receive the error message 'Document ID is invalid'
Reason: The Type & Type ID combination being passed is incorrect
Solution
You'll need to make sure the Type ID being sent from Transaction Manager is a valid entry for the specific Type you are attempting to send. Otherwise you'll need to modify what Transaction Manager sends or add the entry to Dynamics GP for the appropriate Type being sent
Example: Type of Order and Type ID (Doc Id) of EDI was sent
Updating in Transaction Manager
Navigate: Trading Partners → (Partner) → Translations → Defaults
Fill: Order Type ID
Updating in Mapping Manager
If you have access to Mapping Manager you can update the system with custom logic
Row: taSopHdrInvInsert
Field: DOCID
