Product: Dynamics GP (Enterprise) / Total Reports
Issue: When attempting to process a document (Purchase Order, Invoice, ASN, etc) vSync/TrueCommerce will bring up a popup stating There username and password is not valid. The application will now exit
After selecting the "OK" button - no report/audit is generated for the processed event.
Reason: Total Reports configuration is no longer able to connect to the SQL Server
Possibly due to bad installation/configuration
Possibly due to moving SQL Server
Permissions issue
The Quick Fix
Navigate: C:\Program Files (x86)\vSync\TotalReports
Launch: TotalReports.exe (Run as Admin)
Select: Two-right chevron arrows next to the Cancel button (>>) to enter connection info
Fill: Update the SQL Server Name, User Name, and Password
Note
Occasionally the config file (TotalReports.exe.config) within the Total Reports folder has issues writing to the config - in which case you'll receive an error the system still can't connect to the server despite being correct info. You can backup this file to another location, and then delete it from the folder and then attempt to save to get around this
If you launch Total Reports after deleting the config file, it'll throw an error - just select 'OK' and then configure the connection information, and hit 'OK' again. This will save a new version of the config with the proper connection info
