Acumatica - [ERROR] Location '[LocationID]' cannot be found in the system

Error: Location '[LocationID]' cannot be found in the system


Issue: When attempting to export out an inbound Purchase Order (850) from Transaction Manager you receive the following error: 'Location '[LocationID]' cannot be found in the system'

Reason: The Ship To Code or Store # that your Trading Partner has sent does not match any known Location IDs within Acumatica.

Solution - Update the Address List


You can use the Address List to translate the Ship To Code or Store # into a Location ID marked within Acumatica.

Navigate: Trading Partners → (Partner) → Translations → Address List

Select: Add New Item

EDI Code: The Trading Partner Ship-To Code

Bus Sys Code: Acumatica Location ID

Solution - Add the Location


By adding the Location within your Customer's Location table Transaction Manager will be able to push out that Ship To Code or Store # directly to Acumatica

Navigate: Receivables → Customers → (Customer)

Select: Locations

Add: New Location

Location ID: Trading Partner's Ship To Code or Store #
