Product: Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations
Error: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond
Issue: When attempting to establish or test a connection with your AppServer you receive the error 'A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond'
Reason: The AppServer Connection you are attempting to reach is not responding. Either due to an invalid URL path, a firewall/security blocking the connection, or the server is down.
Solution - Correct the Invalid URL Path
If you are attempting to connect to the Transaction Manager Integration FTP then you will need to ensure the proper path is set based on the Transfer Protocol dropdown located within Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations.
Transfer Protocol | AppServer URL |
SFTP | sftp.truecommerce.com |
FTP |
Solution - Disable Blocking of Port
If you are hosting your own Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operation server - ensure that your Security Settings are not blocking FTP/SFTP Ports such as 20, 21, and 22
Transfer Protocol | Port |
SFTP | 22 |
FTP | 20 & 21 |
Solution - Attempt Manual Connection to FTP
You may wish to try and utilize a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Client such as FileZilla to manually connect to the Integration FTP to ensure that connection is possible.
If you are unable to connect manually - please contact Support
