Product: Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations
Transaction Manager and Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations work off of an Integrated FTP solution - meaning Transaction Manager and Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations swap files through an intermediate hosted File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Server that is hosted by TrueCommerce for Transactions Received/Sent to your Trading Partners.
So we'll need to ensure that Transaction Manager and your Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations environments are configured properly to point toward the same hosted Integration FTP.
Integration FTP
When your Transaction Manager profile is setup you will automatically receive a pre-configured Integration FTP solution that includes a Hosted FTP, User Credentials, and Folder Pathing predefined for you. You will need to mark these down in order to configure them within Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations.
FTP Credentials
You will need to have access to your FTP Username & Password which would of been provided to you during your initial implementation with Transaction Manager. Your username is typically your EDI Qualifier + ID used with Transaction Manager.
If you do not know your Username/Password for your FTP Credentials - you will need to reach out to our Support Team to have them sent to you
Folder Paths
When configure Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations you will need to point your Inbound and Outbound paths to the Integration FTP pre-configured through Transaction Manager. You can find these paths under your Business System → Company Configuration settings under the Cloud Access group.
Navigate: Business System → (Company Name) → Company Configuration → System Setup (Default Page when selecting Company Name)
Copy: Import Path & Export Path (Starting from the IntegrationFTP)
You'll want to grab the path range from IntegrationFTP to Transaction for both Import Path and the Export Path
Example:
\IntegrationFTP\Export\Integration Playground\Transaction
\IntegrationFTP\Import\Integration Playground\Transaction
Path Structure
When copying the Integration FTP Path from Transaction Manager and pasting it into Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations you will want to convert the backward slashes into forward slashes.
Configuring The AppServer
Once you have your User Credentials and the Import/Export Folder Paths for your Integration FTP you can configure your AppServer within Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations.
