To change the default display order of products in a category in Engage, you may follow the steps in the Guided Tutorial called 'Re-order Products in Engage". (Guided Tutorials are accessed separately from the Support Center in Foundry, through the link to Guided Tutorials in the system navigation under the question mark at the top. In the legacy standalone version of Nexternal they can be accessed through the Guided Tutorials link in the left navigation.)
Or, you may follow these steps:
1. Click Categories
2. Click on the Name of the Category in which you want to change the order of the products
3. To change the order of products listed in the Engage iPad Point of Sale, click the blue Change Engage Order button.
4. On the next page, called the Edit Product Order screen, you can set the order in which products are displayed in a default sort (i.e. when no specific sort order is selected by the user) within a bottom level category in the Engage Application.
Tip: If the Drag and Drop Sort option (Settings / Boolean Options) is on, the order is set by dragging and dropping products to their desired places on the list. If Drag and Drop Sort is off, the order is set by the values entered on this screen, with lower values displayed before higher values.
Note: The Product Status Sort option (Settings / Boolean Options) automatically sorts in-stock items above out-of-stock items. If that option is on, Product Status takes precedence over the order set on this screen.
