What Transactions are Required for Associated Grocers of New England?
For every order that is received, Associated Grocers of New England requires that the Purchase Order Acknowledgment (855) and the Advance Ship Notice (856) be sent in response.
What Steps Must I Take?
After testing and certification is complete, every production order must have an 855 and 856 sent. The steps to get started are outlined below:
Ensure that the mode the 855 and 856 that was tested is in Production Mode.
TrueCommerce recommends reviewing the Template to hardcode any static information.
If your organization imports either the 855 or 856, ensure that the Import Document Type is set.
How do I create the 855 and 856?
The first step is to open and review the Purchase Order and review all details.
Next, the Purchase Order Acknowledgement (855) will need to be created. This document will communicate to Associated Grocers of New England, if the order will be accepted, rejected, or if changes will be made.
The 855 can be created using the Turnaround Function or through an integration with your ERP (if applicable). Once the 855 is created in the Outbox, populate all mandatory fields and send to Associated Grocers of New England.
The Advance Ship Notice (856) will need to be sent to Associated Grocers of New England to communicate the contents of the shipment as well as information relating to the shipment such as order information, product descriptions and physical characteristics of how the items are packed and shipped.
Similar to the 855, the 856 can be created either by Turnaround or through the Integration with your ERP (as applicable).
Ensure that the ASN matches the physical shipment. Once the ASN is complete, send to Associated Grocers of New England.
