Sage 100 - Installing Transaction Manager Integration for Sage 100 2025

Step-by-step installation and upgrade guide for the TrueCommerce Transaction Manager integration with Sage 100 2025, including Integration Service, Sage components, and Custom Office file setup.

Written by Doug Heckman

Product: Sage 100

Transaction Manager integrates directly with Sage 100 2025 through a locally installed Integration Service that bridges your Sage 100 data with the TrueCommerce Foundry platform. Whether you are performing a fresh installation or upgrading from a previous version of Sage 100, the steps below will walk you through the full setup process.

The Integration Service must be installed on the Sage 100 server. If your users perform flat file imports and need to manually select files, the Integration Service must also be installed on each client workstation. SQL-based versions of Sage 100 are supported.

If you are installing a version of Sage 100 other than 2025, contact TrueCommerce Support for the correct installation guide before proceeding.

System Requirements & Prerequisites

Before beginning the installation, confirm that all of the following prerequisites are in place:

  • Sage 100 2025 has been installed on the server.

  • If upgrading, your Sage reseller has already run the Sage migration tool from your previous version.

  • If using workstations for flat file imports, the Sage 100 2025 workstation has been installed on each client machine.

  • If you plan to send Advance Ship Notices (ASNs) to Trading Partners using Transaction Manager, confirm the TrueCommerce Custom Office file has been installed in Sage 100 — this adds a TrueCommerce tab to Customer Maintenance, Sales Order Entry, Shipping Data Entry, and Invoice Data Entry in Sage 100.

Integration Service Installation

The TrueCommerce Transaction Manager Integration Service must be installed on the Sage 100 server and on any client machines that will be performing flat file imports.

Downloading the Integration Service

Navigate: Transaction Manager → Integration Settings (from the Navigation menu)

Select: Download Integration Service link

Save: The file locally to the machine

Right-click: The downloaded file

Select: Run as Administrator

Running the InstallShield Wizard

Select: Next on the Transaction Manager Integration Service – InstallShield Wizard to begin

Enter: A user name and organization

Select: Next

Select: Complete (setup type radio button)

Select: Next

Select: Install once the Integration Service is ready

Select: Yes if prompted to allow the program to install

A progress bar will display the installation status. Allow the process to complete before proceeding.

Installing the Sage 100 Integration Components

The Sage 100 integration components must be installed on the server as local administrator. If client machines perform flat file imports, the workstation installer must also be run on each of those machines.

Server Installation

Download: Setup.exe and TCSage100Installer.msi to the Sage 100 server

Find: the file named TCSage100Installer.msi in the folder where you downloaded the Sage 100 2025 installation files.

Double-click: TCSage100Installer.msi as local administrator

Select: Next on the installer welcome screen

Browse: To the local path where Sage 100 is installed on the server (do not accept the pre-loaded default path — browse to confirm the correct MAS90 folder location)

Select: Everyone

Select: Next

Note: If doing this on a client machine, you’ll run the workstation.MSI just like above and enter the local path and then UNC path for the server.

Select: Next on the Confirm Installation screen

The installer will display a progress bar and then configure the Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) for ProvideX connections. This step may take a few moments.

Allow: it to complete before proceeding.

For client machines performing flat file imports, download TC.Sage100.Installer.Workstation.msi from the above URL and run it as local administrator on each workstation. Enter the local path and the Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path for the server when prompted.

If flat file imports are NOT being used, you only need to install on the server. Each client machine will use the Integration Service from the server via their Foundry session.

Enabling Terminal Server Mode

After the installation, the Integration Service must be configured with Terminal Server mode set to True so that all users can access it from the server.

Navigate: Windows → Services (as local administrator)

Locate: Transaction Manager Integration Service

Right-click: Transaction Manager Integration Service

Select: Stop

If the Stop option is greyed out, you are not logged in as local administrator. Contact your IT team to obtain the required permissions before proceeding.

A Notepad screen will open up, and you’ll see the below:

Locate: The line: <add key="TerminalServer" value="False" />

Enter the Server, User, and Password (TrueCommerce recommends using the "sa" username to prevent permission issues). Sage 100 Custom Office File Installation

The Custom Office file provided by TrueCommerce adds a TrueCommerce tab to Customer Maintenance, Sales Order Entry, Shipping Data Entry, and Invoice Data Entry within Sage 100. This tab contains user-defined fields and settings required for the integration with Transaction Manager.

This installation only needs to be performed once on the server. Ensure all users are completely logged out of Sage 100 before proceeding with the Custom Office installation. Failure to do so may result in incomplete installation or data conflicts.

Log in: To Sage 100 as administrator

Navigate: Custom Office module → Utilities → Customize Import Wizard

Select: Next on the Customizer Import Wizard dialog box

Select: Browse icon to navigate to the Transaction Manager MAS 90/200 directory

Select: Next after the Import File Selection window displays the contents of the Customizer file,

Select: Next

If there are no customizations to the Sage 100 Company, you can continue installing the modifications.

Select: Next

Select: Finish on the Customizer Import confirmation dialog to install the TrueCommerce customizations

A progress bar will display while the installation completes.

Navigate: Utilities → Update Custom Panels to Current Level when the installation completes

Apply: Changes to all companies that will integrate with TrueCommerce

After the Custom Office installation is complete, verify that all Sage 100 user roles assigned to Transaction Manager users have the appropriate module permissions.

Navigate: Sage 100 → Role Maintenance (as administrator)

Verify: Users have access to the following modules at minimum:

  • Accounts Receivable

  • Common Information

  • Custom Office
