Trading Partner: O'Reilly Auto Parts

O'Reilly Auto Parts is a major automotive aftermarket parts retailer that requires Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) compliance testing prior to going live within your EDI network. To implement O'Reilly Auto Parts as a new Trading Partner, you will need to confirm your EDI identification details, engage with their designated testing partner, and complete compliance testing before Go-Live.

Before starting, be aware that O'Reilly Auto Parts uses Cleo specifically for the Advance Ship Notice (856) testing, while all other document testing is handled directly. Confirming your Transportation Management System (TMS) Facility Codes and shipment types prior to kicking off your project will help avoid delays during the implementation process.

EDI IDs

O'Reilly Auto Parts utilizes the following Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) IDs for identification purposes. These EDI IDs are made up of a Qualifier and an ID which will be sent within their Interchange Control Header, ISA segment, on your inbound transactions. This allows Transaction Manager to be able to identify the Sender and Receiver of any EDI transaction that is sent or received.

Below is a list of the most common EDI IDs typically used by O'Reilly Auto Parts:

O'Reilly Auto Parts will expect a specific EDI ID based on your business relationship with them. Selecting the wrong EDI ID will result in EDI Transactions not being sent or received.

You will need to work with O'Reilly Auto Parts to determine the proper EDI ID to use.

Preliminary Steps

O'Reilly Auto Parts uses Cleo to conduct the Advance Ship Notice (856) testing on their behalf. Be sure to engage with your Cleo representative to ensure you have access to their testing portal.

The contact email is: [email protected]

Prior to starting the project, confirm the following with your team:

  • Your Transportation Management System (TMS) Facility Codes

  • Whether your shipments are Ocean or U.S. Domestic Shipments

O'Reilly Auto Parts will test all other EDI documents directly.

Portal Testing

O'Reilly Auto Parts requires you to complete compliance testing before Go-Live. TrueCommerce can conduct and complete compliance testing on your behalf — if so, your Implementation Specialist will coordinate the details with you once your project has kicked off.
