If you are looking to implement Carquest Auto Parts as a new Trading Partner within your Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) network, this article will provide you with an understanding of the requirements, preliminary and next steps, as well as commonly used transaction types.

EDI IDs

Carquest Auto Parts utilizes the following EDI ID for identification purposes. This EDI ID is made up of a Qualifier and an ID which will be sent within their Interchange Control Header, ISA segment, on your inbound transactions. This allows Transaction Manager to be able to identify the Sender and Receiver of any sent/received EDI transaction.

The table, below, lists the most common EDI ID used by Carquest Auto Parts.

Preliminary Steps

Carquest Auto Parts vendors will need to contact [email protected] in order to begin the EDI setup process. Carquest Auto Parts will require vendors to complete the Carquest Trading Partner profile form.

Direct Trading Partner Testing

Carquest Auto Parts requires you to complete compliance testing prior to go-live. Their onboarding packet will contain multiple scenarios to review and conduct compliance testing on. End-to-end testing with Carquest Auto Parts will not occur. Rather, the sample Purchase Orders will be downloaded from their onboarding packet and sent to your Foundry by your Implementation Specialist. Internal testing will then occur to ensure that your team is familiar with each applicable scenario.

Next Steps

Once the purchase of the Carquest Auto Parts plug-in is complete and/or coordinate a plan for compliance testing and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system integration testing.
