It clearly defines what EDI does—digitizes business document exchanges to improve speed, accuracy, and trading‑partner compliance—and how it supports standardized communication between buyers, vendors, and warehouses. Emphasis is placed on six core transaction types (850, 997, 855, 940, 856, and 810) highlighting each document’s purpose and timing.

A live demonstration walks through how to receive and manage purchase orders, verify trading partner configurations, create outbound documents using the turnaround function, distinguish test versus production modes, track acknowledgements, and correct and resend documents when needed.
