Trading Partner: Rural King

If you are looking to implement Rural King as a new Trading Partner within your EDI network, this article will provide you with an understanding of the requirements, preliminary and next steps, and commonly-used transaction types.

EDI IDs

Rural King utilizes the following Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) IDs for identification purposes. These EDI IDs are made up of a Qualifier and an ID which will be sent within the Interchange Control Header, ISA segment, on your inbound transactions. These provide Transaction Manager with the means to identify the Sender and Receiver of any sent or received EDI transaction.

The following table lists the most common EDI IDs used by Rural King:

X12 Qualifier

EDI ID

Primary ID?

ZZ

MRK00001

MRK00008

No

RKYORKT

Rural King will expect a specific EDI ID based on your business relationship with them. Incorrect EDI ID selection will result in EDI Transactions not being sent or received. You will need to work with Rural King to determine the proper EDI ID to use.

Preliminary Steps

Before TrueCommerce is able to begin the onboarding Rural King into Transaction Manager, you will need to perform the following action to kick off your Trading Partner Implementation Project:

  • Log in to the York testing portal and complete the registration contact information, Trading Partner worksheet, and also pay the certification fee within the York portal prior to the True Commerce project kickoff.

  • Sample data will be required as well.

Portal Testing

Rural King requires that you complete compliance testing before Go-Live. Please refer to the Next Steps section, below, for detailed instructions and expectations. If you prefer, TrueCommerce can conduct and complete compliance testing on your behalf.
