Account Management: Using 'Buy Add-Ons' to Purchase Trading Partners

The Account Management > Buy Add-Ons feature within the TrueCommerce Foundry platform includes the option for users to add new Trading Partner connections. You can:

  • Browse for and find the trading partners you need with minimal administrative steps

  • Purchase connections quickly with a streamlined checkout process.

  • Get a head start on preparing for the connection setup of your new partner

IMPORTANT: All customer trading partner Add-On requests are now expected to go through the Add-On Portal.

Accessing Buy Add-Ons and Ordering a Partner

To access the Buy Add-Ons option directly when you are logged in to Foundry, perform the following steps:

  1. Click Menu in the far left panel.

  2. From the options displayed, click Account Management.

  3. Within the Account Management submenu, click Buy Add-Ons. The Buy Add-Ons user interface (UI) will display.

  4. To add your next connection, enter the Trading Partner Name or ID in the Search field of the Buy Add-Ons Home page, or click the Add a New Trading Partner tile to review the catalog.

    Alternatively, you can click the Trading Partners tab at the top of the page or hover over the tab to view and select a specific category of partner.

  5. Select from the partner categories provided (Note that each category has its own distinct tile):

    - B2B Retail/Wholesale - alphabetical list of Retail and Wholesale Trading Partners
    ​- DropShip - alphabetical list of DropShipping Suppliers
    ​- eCommerce Storefront - alphabetical list of eCommerce systems
    ​- Logistics - alphabetical list of Fulfillment and Logistics providers
    ​- Marketplace - alphabetical list of electronic Marketplaces

  6. In this article, we will select B2B Retail/Wholesale. After choosing your partner category, select a specific subcategory tile. For example, in the screenshot, below, subcategory tiles include 0-9, A, B, C, D, E, F.


    The individual partner tiles will display.

8. At this point, you can decide to purchase the partner directly from their tile by
clicking the More Info/Buy button within the tile, but also notice the Compare
checkbox options accompanying each tile.

Check the boxes for at least two partners if you would like to view and compare
their summary information side-by-side. A horizonal Compare tab will display
with the total number of partners for comparison on the far right of the page.

Click the Remove button to remove a partner from the ‘Compare items below’ pop-up or click Add to Cart to easily add the preferred partner to your shopping cart. You can also close the comparison by clicking the X in the upper-right corner of the pop-up.

For a quick summary view of a specific partner, click Quick View within that partner’s tile and the name, Primary ID, and any Additional ID(s) will display in a row below the tile.

You can also click the More Info/Buy button in the Quick View (or the View Details link below the button) to access more Trading Partner Information about the selected partner, its Available electronic data interchange (EDI) Documents, and Onboarding Details (clickable link to TrueCommerce Trading Partner Onboarding Experience help article).

9. In the ‘Fee Shown in Cart’ section of the page, click the Add To Cart button, which will add the connection to your shopping cart and automatically open a Trading Partner Information smart form for the connection.

NOTE: To exit the form at any time, click the X in the top-right of the form.

10. Vendor number or Account No assigned to your organization by your trading partner and Account EDI Qualifier & ISA ID are required fields. The Company Name, First Name, Last Name, and Email Address fields will be auto-populated based on the user who is logged in to Foundry.

NOTE: Making a selection from the Trading Partner ID drop-down field is required. A customer will only need to select a Trading Partner ID field value if or when the client has multiple Trading Partner IDs.

11. Once all required fields are filled/selected and any other information is provided/ the form is complete, click the Submit button to move forward with next step in the buying process. A 'Success!' message that you added to your cart will display in top-right of the page.

To quickly view the contents of your shopping cart at any time, hover over the cart icon. Notice, also, that the total number of items in the cart is indicated within a red circle on the cart icon.

Within this hover view, you can quickly view summary details about the partner(s) and the Grand Total, Remove a partner, and see available Delivery options.

12. Click the View Cart button to review your order.

You can delete (trash bin button), provide special instruction related to the partner(s) for purchase (document edit button), and/or add any required field information (document exclamation button) while reviewing the order.

NOTE: If a green chart button displays next to the Edit button, it means all required fields were completed in the Trading Partner Information smart form. However, if a red alert button displays, data still needs to be entered; in this case, click the alert button to return to the smart form.

If there are required fields that need to be completed, a pop-up will display, alerting you to this.

13. To complete your purchase, click the Proceed to checkout button.

14. The payment information page will display and your address/billing address information will preload into the Business Contact Details form. You can enter free-text additional information.

15. Read the Terms & Conditions by clicking the link next to the Proceed to Payment button and check the box indicating that you have read and agree to them, then click Submit.

NOTE: Clicking Terms & Conditions will open the TrueCommerce Services Agreement web page in a separate window where you can review the agreement.

16. The final step in the ordering process is review and confirmation of your order. If everything on the Order and Notification page is accurate, click the Confirm your order button.

A 'Thank you for your order' confirmation pop-up that includes your Web Order
Reference Number will display.

Assigning more than Three Partners

Should you need to assign more than three Trading Partners, you can click the Contact Us tab and select the "Adding More than Three Trading Partners" option from the required Select Subject field. Include any relevant details in the free-text Enter Message field and use the Upload buttons to attach any helpful files. Ensure that you complete any other required fields (Your Name, etc.). Submit the information.

If additional support is necessary, click the Find Your Client Manager link on the right side of the page.

Partner Not Listed

If you utilize the Search field but the system does NOT yield any results, click the Partner Not Listed button on the 'Sorry, we found no results for your search' page, then indicate the Trading Partner Name, Qualifier / ID, Connection Type, and more (provide file Uploads, if relevant) in the 'Trading Partner Not Found' form. Ensure you fill out all required fields and once the information is complete, click Submit.
