Product: NetSuite

An Inventory Inquiry/Advice (846) is generated by pulling the Inventory availability straight from NetSuite into Transaction Manager generating the needed EDI data to be sent to your Trading Partner.

Importing an Inventory Report

To create an outbound Inventory Inquiry/Advice (846) all you need to do is select the Inventory/Catalog option within the Import Search screen and set your Saved Search ID which was created previously within NetSuite for your items.

Importing

Navigate: Outbox

Select: Import

Select: Inventory/Catalog

Set: Type to Inventory Report (default)

Saved Search ID: Paste ID from NetSuite

Select: Run Search

Check: Report Results & Select Import

NetSuite Saved Search

Transaction Manager leverages NetSuite's Saved Searches to pull inventory information to avoid having to pull all items from NetSuite (which can be a slow operation) - as such you'll need to make sure you have an Item Saved Search created prior to importing into Transaction Manager.

The Inventory Report/Inquiry (846) requires a NetSuite Item Saved Search

You can input the Saved Search ID into the Import Search screen so that Transaction Manager knows which search to utilize when requesting items.

All Items on the Saved Search will have their information pulled - but only Items marked within Transaction Manager's Item Catalog will appear on your Inventory Inquiry/Advice (846). Be sure to fill out your Item Catalog.

Note: Reducing the number of items being returned by modifying the saved search can increase performance
