The Transaction Manager platform is designed to manage your EDI data by allowing users to easily send, receive, create, and modify EDI transactions in an intuitive user-interface.
Scheduler is a built in tool inside of Transaction Manager that can perform many of these tasks automatically through the use of Scheduled Events without a user being present.
Scheduler is a purchasable TrueCommerce Add-On module. If you have not yet acquired it, you can inquire about it by navigating to the Account Management โ Buy Add-Ons option under the Foundry platform primary navigation menu or by contacting your Account Manager.
What Can Scheduler Do?
Import/Export Transactions
Whether you are utilizing an Integrated Business System or reading/writing Flat Files (CSV, XML, TXT) you can leverage the power of the Scheduler system to automatically process the files between your business system (ERP) and Transaction Manager.
Automatically import/export files into your Transactions Outbox
Automatically import files from Saved Searches for integrated transactions
Automatically export files in your Inbox to a file or integrated business system
Send Transactions
With files in your Outbox or in combination with an Import scheduled event, you can easily send all transactions ready to go to your Trading Partner. Scheduler can automate this timely task, ensuring your transactions make it out on time.
Automatically sends Transactions within your Outbox
Automatically avoids not sending Transactions with errors or missing required data
Can Import and Send all Transactions needed from your integrated business system simultaneously
Receiving Transactions are already done automatically from Transaction Manager. As such, there is no need for a Receive option within Scheduler.
Generate Reports
Need to generate Reports on a weekly or daily basis to monitor your EDI Transaction trends? Scheduler can automatically run those reports for you and send them to an email, allowing you to view them whenever you need.

How Does Scheduler Work?
The Scheduler module is built into Transaction Manager, giving it the capability to handle the EDI Transactions you Send and Receive directly. Scheduler is also designed to work with your Integrated Business System or Flat-File Integration, allowing communication to happen automatically between advice.
Scheduler runs off of Scheduled Events that can be run Monthly, Weekly, Daily, or Hourly
to fit your needs.
Integrated Business Systems
If you are utilizing an integrated business system, the Scheduler system can leverage a single connection to your business system to automatically export newly-received Transactions from your Trading Partners into the system, creating the documents within your business system to be accessed and reviewed by your accounting team - as well as import any pending documents within your business system that are ready to be sent to your Trading Partner.
Flat-File Integrations
If your business system is utilizing a Flat-File Integration (CSV, XML, TXT, etc.), the Scheduler system can monitor a File Path--be it through a Local Drive, Network Drive, or an FTP--Importing and Exporting files to and from those paths as needed.
