Product: Transaction Manager
Whenever you attempt to import a transaction from your business system for the first time - you may come across an error stating it was unable to import due to the Import Document Type not being set - this configuration step is required as your system needs to know what it's creating, for example are you using an Invoice to import a 4010 or a 5010? Is your Invoice actually a Credit Memo? Since a single ERP document can be used to create variations within Transaction Manager of the same type, you'll need to make sure your Transaction Manager settings are up to date so it knows how to process your document!
Solution
If your document type hasn't been set, you'll need to configure it for the Partner you're attempting to import within Transaction Manager so that the system knows which document you want to create.
Step One
Navigate: Trading Partners → (Partner) → Preferences → Transactions → Status
Check: Activate
Step Two
Navigate: Trading Partners → (Partner) → Preferences → Transactions → Integration
Select: Import Document Type
NOTE: You can double click any transaction to bring up a full overview without having to switch between tabs
Common Issues
If you do not have the Activate option checked, but the Import Document Type is set - the system will still error stating no Import Document was set - make sure your document is active for your ERP Import to see it!
