Product: Transaction Manager

The following information is specific to the Transaction Manager application. For Foundry Platform information, click here.

Creating a User Account

New Transaction Manager users can only be created by an administrator at the Foundry level, not under User Administration in Transaction Manager. User accounts are managed on the Users page under Settings > Security > Users and Roles, which is documented in the Foundry Platform Administrator Guide.

Note that when creating a new Transaction Manager user:

  • Access is granted by assigning the Transaction Manager role.

  • Authorizations are automatically set to allow.

  • Identity Claims are not enabled for Transaction Manager roles.

Modifying Transaction Manager User Settings

Some user roles and permissions can be modified within Transaction Manager under Administration > User Administration.

This launches the User Administration page listing all of the users who have access to Transaction Manager. From here, you can see the Role Type assigned to each user, which can also be changed via the Role dropdown.

The following options are available in the Role dropdown:

Administrator

This profile has complete access to all of the Transaction Manager features and privileges.

User

This profile has access to all of the Transaction Manager features except Data Setup, System Setup and Permission Setup.

Custom

This type of profile is customizable by selecting any combination of the checkboxes in the Permissions area. Custom permissions allow administrators to limit or grant access to various Transaction Manager functionality.
