Product: QuickBooks Enterprise & QuickBooks Online

If you're considering switching to QuickBooks Online from your QuickBooks Enterprise solution there are a few things you'll need to be aware of before making the switch as not all functionality is the same.

To avoid potential disruption to your Business Process you will need to reach out to your Account Manager prior to switching in

Switching between QuickBooks Enterprise and QuickBooks Online without notifying TrueCommerce will result in Transaction Manager being unable to process your EDI Transactions.

Re-Implementation

The first thing to know that switching from QuickBooks Enterprise to QuickBooks Online is not the same as upgrading your existing QuickBooks Enterprise solution to a new version - this two platforms are separate entities entirely.

While Intuit may be able to transfer your Company Data - the Transaction Manager platform will need to be reimplemented with a new Integration Configuration for all of your Trading Partners requiring a new Implementation Project to be initiated and a Project Manager or an Implementation Specialist to be assigned to you to begin migrating.

A Re-Implementation to migrate from QuickBooks Enterprise to QuickBooks Online can take a significant amount of time. Be sure to discuss with your Account Manager prior to migrating to ensure timelines.

Loss of Functionality

There are features available within QuickBooks Enterprise that do not exist within the QuickBooks Online platform that you may be leveraging in your current business process.

Known Limitations

Some known limitations are the lack of the Sales Order document within QuickBooks Online as well as more limitations on Used Defined Fields that the TrueCommerce Integration often leverages for custom EDI Data transfer between Inbound and Outbound Transactions that may no longer be possible.

Intuit manages and is responsible for features within QuickBooks Online - please consult with Intuit and your Account Manager to determine what features may or may not be present
