Product: Foundry platform, Transaction Manager, Account Management, Pulse

We are pleased to provide our customers with many Globalization and Localization enhancements across the TrueCommerce platform, including Foundry, Transaction Manager, Account Management, and Pulse!

Through these enhancements, you can select your preferred language and see it rendered within the user interface (UI) of your TrueCommerce applications to match your business users' needs.

These updates also allow for a more tailored user experience in the key areas of Local Time Zone, Language, UI Culture, and Currency.

IMPORTANT: Not all elements throughout the TrueCommerce platform are translated as part of the Globalization enhancements. This means that there are still fields, company/trading partner levels, print previews/output PDF files, Transaction Details, Defaults, integration framework settings, and other elements that have not yet been translated.

TrueCommerce will continue to expand our translation and globalization efforts over time to include additional elements and fields.

Time

The TrueCommerce UI will continue to be localized based on your computer's designated Local Time Zone, and will be reflected in the Transaction Manager and Scheduler interface. No additional action is needed from you, as your TrueCommerce environment is already set to your Local Time Zone. You will not need to recreate your existing scheduled events, as the events you created in Scheduler will continue to function as normal.

Language

New language options are available within TrueCommerce in English [U.S. - Default], English (UK), Deutsch (German), Dansk (Danish), Français (French), and Español (Spanish).

Selecting Language on the Sign In screen

On the Foundry platform Sign In screen, you can indicate your Tenant and preferred language by clicking Advanced View under the User Name and Password fields and then selecting it from the drop-down provided. Next, Log in to see the TrueCommerce UI rendered in your selected language.

Changing Language in the User Card

If your User card (Profile > Settings > Security > Users tile within Users and Roles) is updated to, for example, 'Deutsch' (German) in the Preferences > Language field of your card, your TrueCommerce UI will be rendered in German when you select 'Default' the next time you Sign In to the UI.

However, if you Logout of the UI and select a different language, like 'English (UK)', the UI will be rendered in English (UK). Your User card will then be updated to English (UK) and the 'Default' will now be in English (UK). 'Default is the equivalent of your last-used language in the system.

Setting the Scheduler Default Language

Scheduler status messages, including Errors and Warnings, will display in the language indicated within the Scheduler Default Language field (Foundry Menu > Transaction Manager > Administration > System Configuration).

NOTE: A customer must have the Scheduler SKU to be able to adjust the Scheduler Default Language setting. Additionally, this setting impacts the full Tenant (all users within the Tenant will see Scheduler Status messages in the Scheduler Default Language).

Any user with access to System Configuration can update the full Tenant.

UI Culture

You can select your Preferred UI Culture under Profile > General within Foundry. This selection determines display formatting for dates, times, numerical values, and currencies.

The Preferred UI Culture follows opensource standards and cannot be changed, modified, or altered. The below UI Culture Comparison chart shows the differences between in formats per selected Preferred UI Culture.

Currency

In Transaction Manager, a Currency Code column is added to the Transactions folders (Inbox) and the "$" sign is removed from Amount field.

Transaction Manager > Transactions > Inbox

Note that not all Trading Partners will display a Currency value.
