When working in Mapping Manager, field names are referenced using their backend database names rather than the friendly display labels shown in SAP Business One. For example, a field displayed as BP Number or Customer No. in SAP Business One is stored internally as CardCode — and that is the name Mapping Manager uses.

To identify the backend name of any field in SAP Business One, you can enable the built-in System Information display, which reveals the underlying table and field names as you hover over any field on screen.

Enabling System Information

Navigate: View (toolbar, top-left of SAP Business One) → System Information

Once System Information is checked, hover over any field within SAP Business One. The backend field information will appear in the bottom-left corner of the application window.

Reading the Field Name

The result displayed in the bottom-left corner will show a combination of the table name and the field name, formatted as:

TableName.FieldName

For example, hovering over the Memo field on a Journal Entry would display:

OJDT.Memo

In this example, OJDT is the table name, and Memo is the backend field name to use in Mapping Manager.
