The Auto Display Interactive Reports feature within the TrueCommerce Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Module for Dynamics 365 For Finance and Operations allows both the Audit Report and Error Report to automatically appear on screen immediately after a manual import or export process completes.
This setting is configured individually per Cross Reference (System, Company, Customer, or Trading Partner) across your Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or Warehouse modules, giving you granular control over which areas auto-display reports after processing.
Enabling Auto Display Interactive Reports
To enable the Auto Display Interactive Reports option, navigate to the appropriate Cross Reference record within the EDI module for your desired module (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or Warehouse).
Navigate: Modules → EDI → (Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable / Warehouse) → Cross References → (System / Company / Customer / Trading Partner)
Select: General Tab → General Section → Reporting Options
Set: Auto Display Interactive Reports → Use
Click: Save
This setting is available on every Cross Reference type — System, Company, Customer, and Trading Partner — across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Warehouse. Enable it on whichever Cross References you want reports to auto-display for.
Auto Display Interactive Reports View
Once the Auto Display Interactive Reports option is enabled, both the Audit Report and Error Report will automatically appear on screen immediately after an import or export process has been completed.
Audit Report
The Audit Report provides a summary of the EDI processing run that just completed, including details such as Run Start, Run Finish, the User ID that performed the operation, and transaction-level information including Customer Account, Transaction Type, Trading Partner Name, Document Number, Ship To Code, and Transaction Amount for all Inbound and Outbound Transactions processed.
For full details on reading, exporting, and printing the Audit Report refer to the dedicated article below.
Error Report
The Error Report displays any errors that were encountered during the import or export processing run. Each entry identifies the specific EDI Transaction affected along with the associated error detail, allowing you to quickly identify and address any issues that prevented successful processing.
If no errors occurred during the processing run, the Error Report will appear with no error entries.
