Errorr: Error connecting to Peachtree: Unable to connect. Please open a company in Peachtree.

Issue: Whenever attempting to perform any action that requires a connection to Sage 50/Peachtree you receive the error: 'Error connecting to Peachtree: Unable to connect. Please open a company in Peachtree.'

Reason: The connection to Sage 50/Peachtree is not able to be established, is being blocked, or you do not have the appropriate company file open.

Transaction Manager Error

Solution A - Open Company in Sage 50

If Sage 50/Peachtree is not opened, or you have the wrong company file open - you'll need to shut down Sage 50/Peachtree and open it again with the appropriate company file that's configured for Transaction Manager.

Solution B - Close Multiple Instances of Sage 50

If you have more than one version of Sage 50/Peachtree open, Transaction Manager may be unable to determine which one to attach itself to in order to pick the one you're intending to work with and may end up confused.

You'll need to only have a single Sage 50/Peachtree instance open.

Solution C - Check the Company Path

Navigate: Business System β†’ (Company Name) β†’ Company Configuration β†’ Integration Options

Confirm: Company Path field is correct

Solution D - Restart Server

If none of the above help correct the issue - you may simply need to restart the Sage 50/Peachtree server to restore communication.
