The security administrator role lets you have levels of admin access, thereby strengthening our security model in Foundry.

You can have administrators who can make system changes but not run the risk of accessing sensitive user information. A security administrator can create all the other administrator roles and can turn off screens or hide menu options.

Example: I have an entry-level IT person who can reset passwords for users but isn’t allowed to create roles or manage permissions.

What can each role do?

Administrator

Security Administrator

Tenant Settings

All Administrator Functions +

Print Stations

Create and Manage Users

Scheduled Tasks

Create and Manage Roles

Localizations (Languages)

Session Management

User Defined Fields

Note: In order to be a security administrator, you also have to have the administrator role.
