Product: Transaction Manager
The ability to run both the current and new TrueCommerce Integration Service is possible by working between the TrueCommerce and RightNetworks teams.
Note that this is a temporary setup, as the anticipated end result is for only the new version of the Integration Service to be running.
Setup
The RightNetworks team will install and update your desktop, which will have two icons. The current (or Silverlight) version of the Integration Service will be labeled "TC Old". The new (or Foundry) version of the Integration Service will be labeled "TrueCommerce".
To use the new TrueCommerce integration service, perform these steps:
Double-click the TrueCommerce icon to launch the Integration Service and display the icon in your system tray.
Double-click the icon in the system tray to open the Integration Service pop-up.
Click the Copy icon to the right of the Integration Service ID.
Using Google Chrome as your web browser, log in to Transaction Manager using your User Name and Password via https://foundry.truecommerce.com/core/Default.html.
Once logged in to TrueCommerce Foundry, select the primary navigation button, then select Transaction Manager.
Under Transaction Manager, click Integration Settings.
On the Integration Settings page, click Option 2, then paste the ID from the Integration Service pop-up into the corresponding field.
Click the Save button to save the settings.
Verify that the connection between Transaction Manager and QuickBooks is still functioning by clicking the primary navigation button and selecting Transaction Manager | Transactions.
Once the connection is verified as working, perform these steps to set up Chrome as your default browser:
Launch Internet Explorer.
Click the Settings wheel in the top right of the screen (or use the keyboard shortcut Alt+X).
Click Internet Options.
Click the Programs tab.
Under Internet Programs, click Set Programs.
Select Set your default programs.
Select Google Chrome.
Click Set this program as default.
To avoid issues opening PDFs, select Adobe Reader XL.
Click Set this program as default.
On the bottom right of the Set Default Programs pop-up, click OK.
Close the pop-up.
Click OK on the Internet Options window to close Internet Explorer.
You can now access Transaction Manager via the icon in your system tray once you click the TrueCommerce icon upon login. Right-click on the icon and select Launch Transaction Manager to automatically launch Chrome with the appropriate URL and configurations.
Troubleshooting
If you have selected the TrueCommerce icon and do not see the icon in the system tray or if you receive an error, click the Logout button, then log back in to the RightNetworks environment and try again.
If you still receive the error, submit a case to the RightNetworks Support team. You will need to click the Logout button again, then log back in to the RightNetworks environment and click the TC Old icon to run the previous version. You will then use the Silverlight version of Transaction Manager.
If you do not see Option 2 on the Integration Settings page, submit a case to the TrueCommerce Support team. Click the Logout button, then log back in to the RightNetworks environment and use the TC Old version until your profile has been appropriately updated.
