Your Integration Settings (sometimes referred to as Framework Settings) allow you t configure how your Integration between Transaction Manager and QuickBooks Online performs various operations while processing your EDI Transactions - such as enforcing a Price Verification or preventing Duplicate Purchase Orders from Exporting into QuickBooks.
Understanding each setting helps ensure your integration behaves exactly as your business requires — from how items and customers are matched, to how pricing is verified, to how document numbers are assigned. Settings can be configured at the company (global) level or overridden at the individual Trading Partner level when Use Partner Level Settings is enabled
Note: Enabling Use Partner Level Settings on a Trading Partner will override ALL company-level settings for that transaction type. Be sure to mirror any global settings you wish to retain when enabling it at the partner level.
Integration Settings
The Business System Framework Settings define how transactions are handled at the company level when the Configuration, Item, Address, and Transaction framework settings are applied.
Configuration Settings
Setting | Description & Behavior |
AutoSelection | When enabled, all transactions that meet the import search criteria will automatically be imported into Transaction Manager without requiring manual selection. |
UseUserConfiguration | When enabled, transactions can be exported and imported simultaneously, allowing concurrent user actions. |
PriceVerification | Controls how pricing is validated between the inbound Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transaction and QuickBooks Online. Options include:
• Blank — No price verification is performed. Determined on an individual trading partner basis.
• Assign the QuickBooks Unit Price — The price stored in QuickBooks Online is assigned to the transaction.
• Assign the EDI Unit Price (Warning) — The price present on the Purchase Order (850) is used. A warning is displayed in Transaction Manager when the unit price differs between QuickBooks Online and the EDI transaction.
• Validate EDI/QB Price (Error if Different) — The transaction will not import into QuickBooks Online if the prices differ. An error message will display in Transaction Manager. |
NextDocNo | Controls document number assignment for exported transactions:
• Empty checkbox selected — Document numbers come from QuickBooks Online. Transactions are not assigned document numbers when exported. Clear the Empty checkbox to use Transaction Manager numbering instead.
• Prefix checkbox selected — A prefix can be added to document numbers generated by Transaction Manager. Enter 1 to 3 alphanumeric characters. Default prefix is "EDI".
• Number Field — Enter the value for the next transaction to be exported from Transaction Manager. |
OAuth | Used to establish a user session with QuickBooks Online. Due to its control type (QuickBooksOnLineAuthorization), this setting is not visible to the end user and is managed internally. |
