The first part of this series explains the purpose and workflow of EDI 940 (Warehouse Shipping Order) and EDI 945 (Warehouse Shipping Advice) transactions for managing warehouse‑fulfilled shipping via Transaction Manager. It shows how the seller sends a 940 to request shipment from a warehouse, receives a 945 confirming what shipped, and then uses that data to generate an EDI 856 ASN.
