Adding a New Trading Partner - Add-On Projects

If you've been a Customer with TrueCommerce for a while you may eventually run into a situation where you will want to add additional Trading Partners int your Transaction Manager system so that you may begin trading with them.

To do this - you can purchase new Trading Partner connections through the Add-On Portal or by contacting your Account Manager who will create an Add-On Project for you where you will be assigned an Implementation Specialist to assist you in getting your new Trading Partner Live.

Initiation Phase

Once you've purchased a New Trading Partner through the Add-On Portal you will receive a Project that begins in the Initiation Phase - this Phase occurs after the Sale has completed for the New Trading Partner, and our Trading Partner Engagement team begins to setup the VAN Connection between TrueCommerce and your new Trading Partner.

Pending Status

While your Project is in the Pending status you will be responsible for ensuring the following information is accurate and provided to TrueCommerce for our team to continue to configure your new Trading Partner

Initiate Contact confirming VAN Connection & Request Test Purchase Order (850)

Supply Contact Email for Project

Provide Vendor # / Account #

Map Vendor # / Account # per Specification Requirements

Supply Vendor # or Account # for your business

Provide EDI IDs & Qualifiers to

Prepare Network Connection Readiness (VAN Setup)

Confirm with you which EDI ID/Qualifier they wish to trade under

Provide EDI Partner Map Specifications

Ensure EDI Transaction Set Specifications are up to date.

Supply EDI Transaction Set Specifications and Requirements

Provide Additional Communication from the Trading Partner

Review for Requirements and Special Requests

Supply Special Requests or Important Communications on connection, testing, and production requirements

If you Purchased your Trading Partner from the Add-On Portal then this information most likely would of been provided up-front during Point of Sale

Testing Phase

Once the Project has completed its Initiation Phase and gone into the Testing Phase you will get assigned an Implementation Specialist who will be responsible for ensuring that your new Trading Partner is configured properly within Transaction Manager as well as Integrated with your Business System (if utilizing an Integrated Solution).

Supply a Contact Email for Reviewing Tests or Answering Questions

Configure Trading Partner Settings within Transaction Manager

Test Inbound Transactions (850, 824, 945, etc)

Setup EDI Mailbox to receive Inbound Transactions from Trading Partner

Send Test/Sample Inbound Transactions

Create Outbound Documents (810, 856, 855, etc) within Business System (Integrated Solutions)

Setup EDI Mailbox to send Outbound Transactions to Trading Partner

Supply Outbound Testing Feedback on Acceptance or Rejections

Create Outbound Documents (810, 856, 855, etc) through Transaction Manager Turnaround (Non-Integrated Solutions)

Setup EDI Mailbox to send Outbound Documents to Trading Partner

Supply Outbound Testing Feedback on Acceptance or Rejections

Provide Feedback & Additional Requests for Business Process needs

Make adjustments based on feedback

Supply Additional Comments or Requests

A Project may be put On Hold due to Out Of Office schedules, Lack of Responses, or no Movement on Required Steps

Production Phase

Once the Testing Phase has been completed and all Outbound Transactions have successfully passed to your Trading Partner - the Project will move into the Production Phase where Live Orders are ready to be received.
