As you may be aware, Nexternal now supports sFTP server connections, but each customer needs to first update their Google Merchant Center (Google Shopping Marketplace Data Feed) credentials. This article provides answers for Nexternal users seeking instruction on how to validate or updating those credentials.

To configure the secure file transfer protocol (sFTP) File Upload in Google Merchant Center, you must first sign in to Google Merchant Center, then click the stored procedure (SPROC) icon in the upper-right of the screen and select Data Sources.

  1. Click the Add products from a data file option.

  2. Scroll down the page and select the Add a file using SFTP or Google Cloud Storage radio button.

  3. Enter your Google Shopping Export File Name (The format of this filename is ACCOUNTNAME.TXT).

    A new window will open.

  4. Click the View SFTP and Google Cloud Storage details link below the filename field.

  5. Copy and Save the Password field value.

  6. Return to your Nexternal OMS > Products section, then click the Export - Traffic Tools tab.

  7. Click the Preferences link at the bottom across from Marketplace Exports.

  8. Scroll to the Google Shopping Options section at the bottom of the page, then paste your Google Shopping SFTP Username and Password into the Google Shopping (s)FTP User Name and Google Shopping (s)FTP Password fields.

  9. Click Finish.
