Product: Integration Service

TrueCommerce requires that local admin privileges are used when installing the Integration Service - failure to do so have resulted in multiple symptoms that have been consistently resolved through reinstallation under a local admin account.

Limited Support

TrueCommerce is limited in its support when not granted full local admin privileges to install the Integration Service due to these difficulties.

Known Issues Occurring without Local Admin

There have been multiple identified issues with the Integration Service failing to be installed without Local Admin privileges.

Integration Service Tray Icon does not appear for Users

The Integration Service shows up as a tray icon next to the operating system's clock indicating that it is running and operational. If this icon does not appear after a clean installation - then often the user that it was installed under does not have the proper elevated permissions.

Service Won't Stay Running on Terminal Servers

Often occurs due to any Terminal environment where multiple users log into the same machine remotely .

Without local admin the following symptoms often occur:

  • Service works as single user is logged in

  • Service will crash every time a secondary user logs in

  • Service will operate for all users, but stop when a specific user signs out

Failing to Enable Terminal Mode

Known issues attempting to enable Terminal Mode have been identified due to lack of local-admin privileges. When setting the flag within the config file the Event ID 102 will appear upon start of the Integration Service, but will show running in Workstation mode

  • TerminalMode flag within configuration file keeps resetting on restart

  • TerminalMode set to true - but Event Viewer ID 102 shows Workstation mode

Terminal Mode is not properly enabled

Enable Scheduler does not show

Enabling Scheduler Support is required to allow multiple users outside the Terminal Environment or for Scheduler to access the machine

  • Enable Scheduler Support button does not show with Terminal Mode enabled

  • Enable Scheduler Support button unchecks as soon as checked
