Product: Dynamics GP (Standard/Advance)

Error: The source was not found, but some or all event logs could not be searched. To create the source, you need permission to read all event logs to make sure that the new source name is unique. Inaccessible logs: Security, State.


Issue: Attempting to import/export from Transaction Manager with your Dynamics GP system throws the error: 'The source was not found, but some or all event logs could not be searched. To create the source, you need permission to read all event logs to make sure that the new source name is unique. Inaccessible logs: Security, State.'

Reason: This issue is most often caused by an issue with your eConnect Service - usually due to restricted permissions or an unresponsive server.

Solution


It's recommended that you restart your eConnect Service and if that fails - restarting the server

Restarting eConnect

Navigate: Open Start Menu โ†’ Search for Services

Restart: eConnect for Microsoft Dynamics

Please contact your IT department if you still have issues, or if the service is missing as TrueCommerce does not install, or manage the eConnect Service since it is apart of the Microsoft GP installation.
